The Next Generation Fax machine is the name of a research and development project here at ScientistSuperstar. We are currently testing a few iterations of the product with some of our clients right now.

What is the NextGenFax?

Fax machines have been around since the Nineteenth Century. (telegraph fax patent:1860) In the 1980's, Fax machines demonstrated an incredible growth rate.
This happened because :

a: The cost of the fax device dropped.

b: The adoption rate hit a "Tipping Point".

c: Since so many people had a fax, It became a Collaboration tool.

As soon as a critical mass of businesses had a fax machine, everyone decided to get one, and the concept of having a fax machine was simply a function of being in business.

The Next Generation Fax is not merely a fax machine. It does for modern business what the fax machine did for business in the 80's.

Next Gen Fax is a system that allows businesses to adopt a web based collaborative toolset that connects directly into their office environment. This tool allows for instant search functionality with web based security that ties directly into the office network. It also does faxing.

Next Gen Fax is as simple to operate and own as a Fax Machine. When your business finds out how simple collaboration tools can be - You will wonder how you ever did business without them.

Why are Collaboration tools so important?

Google Spreadsheets are a good example of a collaboration tool. click here to try google spreadsheets

Google Spreadsheets are great because a group of people can securely share powerful information.

The amazing thing about collaboration tools is that we start thinking very differently about our use of computers.

When we work on programs on our computer, we are very aware of opening a file, saving a file, and then subsequently organizing a file. The problem with this attitude is that files, by their very nature are difficult to collaborate with. When a computer opens a file, it has to lock the file. No one else can touch the file until the one computer lets go of the file.

Collaboration tools built on living databases of information. We can share what we are working on because no one person controls the "file". This actually simplifies our use of a computer as well. One of the most difficult learning curves in using a computer system has to do with understanding how to save files.

Having information stored in a database format is a very powerful tool as well. In a database, every record is searchable and securable.

This is the project of the NextGenFax. This product integrates with any application that your company may be using on their network. This product stores and manages PDF documents from any application via a direct interface with the operating system of the computer network.

Collaboration requires participation

The Fax Machine is successful because most businesses have the technology necessary to participate.

If someone shows up at your website, You know a few things already about that participant. They have a computer. They have access to the Internet. They have a Web Browser. This is all the technology that should be necessary to start collaborating. Any collaboration tool that requires software downloads is not a good collaboration tool. All of our tools run right inside of the web browser. This allows you to extend your collaboration directly to anyone that is able to get connected.

If your concept of a web site is another form of the ubiquitous business pamphlet, then get ready to be amazed. The web allows for anyone to truly participate in a collaborative process like never before.

NextGenFax is a workshop that we will be hosting in the near future at the Dunn-Richmond Center. We will demonstrate how Collaboration tools can be implemented in your business. These tools will allow you to do more than you ever thought possible with your computer system.
